Deacon Ed Cody has been a deacon in our parish since he was ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2000. His ministry includes initiation ministry into our faith, volunteer prison ministry to Fox Lake Correctional Institution, and serving as chairperson of the human concerns committee. Ed does premarital preparation for couples for the sacrament of marriage and is available to discuss keeping marriages healthy.
Ed is married to Coletta Cody. They are the parents of three adult children, Mark, Matt, and Michelle. Ed and Coletta enjoy taking care of their grandchildren, Gwyen, Madelyn, Carter and Rylee.
Ed and Coletta have been a part of our Beaver Dam Catholic community since 1978. Ed is a retired family physician. Coletta and Ed are actively involved in the Dodge County Food Pantry.
Ed enjoys reading, chess, pinochle, computer technology, road trips, and watching sports.
If you have any questions about permanent deacons, Ed would be happy to talk with you, as our parish community would benefit from more vocations to the permanent diaconate.
