Words of Encouragement From Your Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry
In the midst of the abundant changes we are all having to make to our daily lives, remember that we should always take an opportunity to step back and maintain our spirituality. Remember that daily prayer and reflection is an easy way to keep our proverbial cups full!
In the upcoming weeks, until further notice, I would ask that on Wednesday's at 6:15 pm we all take an opportunity to take at least 5 minutes to pray for families, friends, and everyone else in the world that needs a prayer. God is ever present, even in the most difficult of times and rather than becoming lost in the uncertainty of what tomorrow brings, we need to intentionally give ourselves time to be reminded of God's presence in our lives. As the situation develops, I will also be providing weekly worksheets and resources for your continued faith education. Please take some time out of your day to strengthen your relationship with God and grow in the knowledge of our faith.
I will keep you all in prayer, and if there are any questions moving forward, please feel free to call 920-887-2082 ext. 308 or email ([email protected]).
Here are a few links to some great resources provided by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee...
The first is to the "Ascension Presents" YouTube channel. This collection of videos answers some of the tougher questions that we as Catholics face in a fun and relatable way.
The second is presented by Lifeteen called "Lectio Live" which streams every Wednesday at 5pm CT. Lectio Live is live-streamed on YouTube and features two of their staff leading teens in reflections on the upcoming Sunday readings.
Also remember that we at Saint Katharine Drexel Parish have a FORMED subscription which gives us access many informative and educational resources as well.
Go to: www.formed.org. Then, you will be prompted for an email and a parish code.
