SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

The Society is an international Catholic organization of laypersons, inspired by Gospel values, whose members join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering. The Society is open to those who wish to live their faith by loving and serving their neighbor. Members are nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, and adherence to a basic rule.

St. Katharine Drexel Conference of St. Vincent de Paul Society: 920-791-7158

Our parish is home to the St. Katharine Drexel CONFERENCE. Members visit, in pairs, those requesting aid. During the visit (usually at the home of the requester) the overall situation is discussed as objectively as possible. The goal is to get the requester through a temporary problem and back to a stable living situation. Occasionally simply listening compassionately is enough to revive their hope. Often an infusion of funds (all donated) is used to restore hope in the future. There are no paid members of the Conference, all are volunteers. 100% of donated funds are used to aid those in need.  All expenses are covered by members donations.

Biweekly meetings are held on Mondays at 7:00 PM at the Parish Center.

St. Vincent de Paul Council of Dodge County: 920-885-6971

The COUNCIL operates the retail store at 125 Dodge Drive, Beaver Dam, WI which sells donated items and uses the profits to assist those in need. In addition to running the store, the Council also assists those in need in Dodge County that are not served by a conference. In addition, the Council coordinates the four Conferences operating in Dodge County. These include: Sacred Heart Conference (Horicon); Tri Parish Conference (south of us); St. Mary/St. Andrew Conference (Mayville/LeRoy) and SKD Conference. The Dodge County Council is then coordinated with all Councils in the Milwaukee Archdiocese by the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Council.

Meetings of the Council are held monthly. They begin at 7:00 PM and the day and location can vary. For more information, contact Sue Weinberger: [email protected]
