“Rosary through the Ages”
a mini-pilgrimage

October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, and this year we will offer a “mini-pilgrimage” to help us as Catholics learn more about this powerful prayer— The Rosary. 

One definition of the word pilgrimage is a long journey or search, especially one of exalted purpose or moral significance. October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary and this year, we will be offering a “mini-pilgrimage” to help us as Catholics learn more about the Rosary.

PILGRIMAGE OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Learn about the history of the Rosary, where it came from, when we got it; and its miracles and promises
  • Learn how this powerful prayer can help you grow closer to Christ – to Jesus through Mary
  • Pray a Novena to Our Lady of the Rosary
  • Learn about Mother Teresa and her love of the Rosary
  • Receive a blessing of Rosaries and other religious articles
  • Take a Rosary Walk / nature hike enjoying the fall colors
  • Learn about fun ways to engage the family in praying the Rosary together – even with younger children
  • Pray for America at the America Needs Fatima Rosary Rally
  • Learn about Fr. Patrick Peyton, C.S.C. – known as The Rosary Priest who coined the phrases: “The Family That Prays Together Stays Together” and “A World at Prayer is a World at Peace”
  • Pray the Rosary before weekend and weekday Masses (starts 30 minutes before Mass)

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Tuesday, September 27 at 6:30 PM in the Narthex - following the 5:30 Mass

Video Presentation with Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, author of Champions of the Rosary: Learn about the history of the rosary, the miracles attributed to it and why it is one of the powerful and treasured prayers of the Church

Wednesday, September 28 thru October 6 – personal prayer

Pray the 9-Day Novena to Our Lady of the Rosary; along with a daily Rosary or one decade if possible.
Parish Intention: For Catholics, especially family members, who have fallen away from the Faith, along with any personal intentions

All are welcome to join the school children in praying the rosary!

Blessing of Rosaries and other religious articles (immediately following Mass)

Monday, Oct. 3 at 7:00 PM at the Palace - Sun Prairie

Saturday, October 8thNature walk from Pike Lake to Holy Hill

WALK with JESUS, PRAY with MARY!

Take a 6.8 mile pilgrimage walk from Pike Lake to Holy Hill - enjoy the beautiful fall colors and get closer to Jesus!

Hike Details: (Exact times to be determined)
Walk from Pike Lake State Park to Holy Hill, enjoy a picnic lunch and the sites and gift store at Holy Hill, then travel back by car to Pike Lake State Park.
Return to Beaver Dam in time for 4:30 Mass
