Ministry is about gifts and needs.  We name and nurture the gifts God has given us; we place these gifts at the service of those in need.  As you prepare to answer your call to intentional discipleship, please consider participating in one or more of our St. Katharine Drexel Parish ministries:  

Councils:  Assisting the Pastor, the pastoral council and the finance council provides advisory to the pastor, implements our parish mission and vision.  

School Advisory Commission:  Serves as advisory to the school principal.   The commission assists with policy development, identification and expression of the educational goals and objectis, budget planning, marketing and public relations.  Ministries include:

  • Marketing and Development.
  • Fundraising.
  • Athletics.
  • Home and School.
  • Band Guild.
  • School volunteer opportunities.

Lifelong Fath Formation and Evangelization Committee:  The purpose of the evangelization and formation committee is to support ministries and programs which evangelize and teach as a part of the mission of the Church.  Evangelization and faith formation is a lifelong process aimed at personal conversion and growth in faith.

Human Concerns Committee:  This committee strives to help our parish live out Jesus's call to be missionary disciples as an extension of God's love.  The purpose of this committee is to discern the needs of people in the parish and wider community - especially the poor - and identify resources to meet those needs while enlisting the active support and participation of parish members.  

  • Communion to the Homebound.
  • Prison Ministry.
  • Men's Ministries:  Knights of Columbus, Men's Group.
  • Prayer Network.  
  • Loaves and Fishes ecumenical free community meal.
  • Catholic Women.
  • Prayer Shawl Ministry,
  • School Sisters of Notre Dame
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society and Food Pantry. 
  • Women's Ministries:  Catholic Women, Prayer Shawl Ministry,
  • Extraordinary Minsters.
  • Right to Life and Pregnancy Support Center.
  • Grief Support Group.

Liturgy and Worship Committee:  Members of this committee meet under the guidance of the Director of Liturgy in discussing the direction, style, and frequency of parish worship and devoltional experiences.

Stewardship Committee:  This committee seeks to help create and sustain an environment of intentional Christian stewardship by emphasizing God's call to live as holy, faithful, and generous sharers of God's many blessings given to each of us.  

  • Plans ministries fairs, stewardship renewal weekends, new member welcome.
  • Promotes stewardship throughout the year through bulletin and newsletter articles.
  • Provides guidance to parish community on living a stewardship way of life. 

Buildings and Grounds Committee:  The buildings and grounds committee is concerned with the state and condition of parish facilities and property, their maintenence, and upkeep.  This committee prioritizes and presents needs as part of the budget process and identifies any situations which require immediate action to the finance council.
